Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using ScreenVocab ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.

2. The service

ScreenVocab is a vocabulary learning platform that allows users to upload screenshots, extract English vocabulary words using OCR and AI, and generate short stories using those words.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Your account

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure
• You must be at least 13 years old to use ScreenVocab
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts

4. Credits and payments

• Every account receives 200 free credits per month, resetting on the 1st of each month
• Additional credits can be purchased as one-time top-ups via Stripe
• 1 credit is deducted per screenshot processed; 5 credits per story generated
• All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store payment details.
• Prices are listed in AUD and are inclusive of GST where applicable

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload screenshots containing illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service
• Use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated tools to bulk-process content in ways that abuse the credit system

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the screenshots you upload. By uploading content, you grant ScreenVocab a limited licence to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content you submit.

7. AI-generated content

Stories and word definitions generated by ScreenVocab are produced by AI and may occasionally contain errors. They are provided for educational and entertainment purposes only. We make no guarantees about the accuracy of AI-generated content.

8. Consumer guarantees

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where the ACL implies any guarantee that cannot be excluded, our liability is limited (to the extent permitted by law) to resupply of the service or a refund of the amount paid.

9. Limitation of liability

Subject to clause 8, ScreenVocab is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jun Kim shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting gogi1293@gmail.com.
